i was having a debate with someone on the internet where they claim they create their own AI. This person lied to me, i didn't know that AI was that easy to make and i then asked. Turns out later they didn't create their own model but fork models of existing AI gen which their training and data scraping methods need to be very questioned still exist and built their own on top of it. yet this person keeps insisting where they use their own art of 229 to train it in their own style it is enough to justify their own model as appropriate. Mind you, this person keeps saying that it is then their tool and any output of 'art' in there is theirs to claim. Then i ask how so where every other artist, photographer and any existing data in their creation have already have so many 'knowledge' and trainings that the model they're working don't even learn much with their own assets because they have preexisting checkpoints or training data from stolen data that possibly in breach of fair use. Mind you, this person becomes defensive, and then i call on that whatever they're working on is an insult to life and they then point hand at me of my own moral highness. From this experience i am so sad to learn that there are many artists who have drawn many times and yet make so many excuses to steal from others in an even more crazy way. And debating them on good intention and curiosity could break their identity. Hence, they're all mad, artists or not whoever have love to use this AI BS is. At a point i even said to them that if they really train their own AI from code to every single asset and pattern learning it might be gray to i would just let them be and might change my own opinion on AI, but that's just impossible to be done by individuals. And we need to learn that this thing exists where AI bros have infested in other artists mind and let them astray of work and art ethics that they have merely become sheep. Beware y'all, don't trust nobody who use any AI gen even where they fork and 'train' them as it changes nothing on how bad it is. And spread the message, and hopefully enough of us protest for a better copyright and data protection in our own places we live.
