I’m in awe, I fully support every argument and do understand the impact of AI generative images on the art industry industry as a whole, how it’s slowly collapsing the work environment of artists. I think Elon musk said it himself, AI will destroy humanity if we let it, a few years back. That’s why I want to go further and say LLM AI alignment and supervision is the only way allowing AI to coexist with employees in companies of all industries. Sadly, when it comes to AI usage in the entertainment industry a goal misgeneralization for cost reduction by removing the workforce, has contend in the upper management as a acceptable compromise. As long as generative AI isn’t constructing its own training set of artistic imagery, it will always be a blatant copy of a collection of its scraped source data interpreted by the model. Unless end to end reinforcement learning generative merged models, that could resemble AGIs, will find a way to produce their own artistic expression in imagery, we won’t have original creative AI. Unfortunately it’s just a matter of time, but much bigger issues will await us if no legislation provides constraints for these models.
