So like, the sad thing is that there is a place for diffusion as part of more proceduralist art and I think it has a lot of potential in that area. I can imagine a world where artists individually train bespoke models on ethically sourced data and use it as part of a larger work, but the way proponents of ai "art" use it today is perhaps the polar opposite of that.
