I'm surprised we're still using the term "artist" to people generating images with AI. They're legit just posting a commission, just asking an algorithm instead of an honest artist. I can walk up to an artist, throw a couple words and some money at them and I'd get an art piece in return. That's literally what they're doing, just with a program and not a human. And, what's worse, they're proclaiming that this piece belongs to them instead. That's just stealing intellectual property. AI Commissioners with no rights to "their" "art pieces", that's all they are. I bet they wouldn't be as proud of themselves anymore if we used that term instead to describe them.
