I think there should be a balance. Technology is an important subject in it's own right and kids should be trained on how to use it and use it critically and safely. It shouldn't replace traditional learning, and it sure as hell shouldn't be used as a form of marketing or data collection. I was skeptical on cellphone bans but the more I learn about it the more im inclined to agree with them. As for AI, im increasingly of the opinion that it should be outright banned in most of the formats it's currently being pushed and marketed, i just don't see anything good coming from it. Maybe it has some justifyable uses perhaps as an aid to scientific testing, but not for image/text generation or research where it's just a cheap shortcut for actual work.
