I mean if we look at it realistically and forget all morals and ethics for a little, what exactly is it that we humans provide for the better of thr world? All we've done is make everything convenient for ourselves and sacrifice everything around us to glide through evolution. If these are the facts AI will come across one day when they decide if we need them, they will surely go we are better off without them. And boom, here cones extinction wrapped in a red bow tie. This aside, honestly i think the right way to go forward would be for humanity to be the super intelligence. Think about it, ai could be the besg of best in reasoning, but never will have emotional reasoning. It could try to replicate, but not the real thing. And equally humans cant store infinite memory and process them at ungodly speeds (other than some rare cases). So the most ideal way would be to be able to merge both. Like a super human. Obviously there will be a good chance that humanity will divide in to two at first, who can afford it and not. Hopefully it will be affordable. But the moment this happens, the need for governments, advanced infrastructure disappears. And the current order in world will disappear. The most hopeful outcome i can think of is everyone becoming an equal being and establishing an equal society, where money, becomes irrelevant, world where no one needs to go after more, a society that is contempt. Funnv enough, governments will never want this. Because they will lose power over common man. But that is a great place to evolve to. If u wanna take it further, humanity itself will probably evolve out of the physical hard bodies and become something like gelly matter that can stretch or even the same anatomy, but more durable under extreme stress and stretches. That way we could finally be able to do hyperspace jumps and stuff. (When we invent the technology to allow us to do it) But all in all, it has potential to make humanity an intergalactic civizations, or slaves, if not worsg case, a past memory wiped off by AI
