I am an artist myself and I just wanted to give my 2 cents on this whole copying artists thing. Yes, it is very different compared to when humans take bits and pieces of another person's art style. Artists (including myself) usually take bits and pieces of art styles that we like. For example, if you like how a certain artist draws hair, you can replicate that and then mix it into your own art style, compared to when ai can literally make an almost perfect copy/ train from their art style. I think that ai can be used for really cool stuff, however, some people steal artists' hard work to train their ai, which however hard it tries, it can never replicate the soul and passion put into a piece of art.
