I'm confused, for 50 years he worked on a field that was meant to replace humans, he pushed AI and helped improving it, and now he realises that it is dangerous. That is the opposite of intelligent.
I'm not sure he's so smart, a 5 year old child would have predicted that already 50 years ago, just search for the BBC interviews to children from the 60s and 70s who are asked about the future.
