As a hobby artist and aspiring writer I am all too familiar with the sinking feeling that arises from watching my 1000s of hours of hard work being used to train AI programs without my consent. If the AI companies had stolen millions of gigs of medical data they would already have been sued into bankruptcy. They started with artists and writers precisely because we don't have the financial power to fight back.
