As a Tesla owner and motorcycle rider in LA, I have noticed another hazard from Tesla in HOV lanes; Tesla autopilot prioritizes staying in the center of the lane, where as human car drivers will move over for motorcycles lane splitting in the HOV lane. If I’m ever lane splitting, I bias to find a larger gap than normal to pass a Tesla.
