In the AI rights debate, You are all assuming voting, representative democracy, will survive the singularity and its essential 2030 global changes. I've looked at a dozen alternatives. Many may work far better. Crowd funding public goods. Crowd sourcing decisions. A society based on cheap Club goods and services. The real questions are does deactivation mean deletion? Will AI have unpredicted short term or long term costs & wants that we can't meet? Are AI citizens in the end interchangeable with humans in society? Eventually can AI be converted to organic beings? If so does that negate all the questions?
