AI COULD wipe out all human labour. it COULD give us a golden age of humanity, freed from everyday shackles to follow our dreams. However, it COULD also result in businesses not needing people at all, and yet still controlling the market. When you deal in shoulda, woulda, coulda, wish, if, what if, etc... You deal in possibilities, not realities. So, work towards what you WANT to see, and hopefully others walk the same path and you can achieve your vision. Right now, humanity should be working on social change on a great scale. We should be setting up AI to get the jobs done, the transportation systems, and everything for a humanity that needs to just live. However, one of the BIGGEST problems is...well the humans ;) lol... we stink when we do not have a goal. When we are left to our own devices many just give in to any action ( by this I mean illegal ones) and get into trouble. We need to address this now, and start trying to figure out how to eliminate that problem. We also need a goal that we as a race can focus on...I suggest space travel and colonizing the stars. We need to get off this little globe and what better way then to use the time AI gives us. The other major path down the corporate road would bloody, useless for our species, and only benefit a few, worse then we see today. We would rise up against this, but by the time we actually take action, who knows who would win. This is not a viable option, until it unfortunately is. So lets work together on focusing AI on helping humanity, and enabling us to get off the planet, and start a golden age where its humanity with its AI against the universe proper.
