One tiny detail you missed:
You're telling people to focus on learning the things AI is bad at. But in reality, when we do that and fix those gaps, we almost always end up doing at least two things:
About 70% of the time, developers document the code.
About 95% of the time, we use Git or some versioning tool, commit the changes, and bump the version — and even when we don’t bump the version, the commit still exists.
So in practice, we end up doing both most of the time.
And that inevitably produces fresh data for AI models to learn from.
The funny part? Those skills take us days to years to truly master, but an AI can absorb that new knowledge in minutes or hours.
This isn’t a question of what humans can do versus what AI can do.
It’s about the time gap — and that’s a fight we simply can’t win.
