The more I learn about how these AI models run, the less sense one of them gaining consciousness makes to me. Computers are already plenty smart. Their ability to process complex tasks already leaves humanity way behind, in many cases. But being able to master chess or find prime numbers or predict the weather has never gotten them any closer to alive. Don't know why some chat bot or art app is going to be the thing that changes that.
