I still haven’t heard anyone tell us what good it does humans to be replaced by robots. Even in wall-e when everybody was fat and sitting in chairs with vr glasses, the point of the movie was getting free from that. Anybody who thinks UBI will pay us what we make now is delusional. We will be given a closet apartment and stipend to buy synthetic food like substances. The only positive I see is that eventually it will fail because there will be no money or energy to keep it going. It’ll be another instance of “unintended consequences” because everything that makes life worth living will collapse. It’s not sustainable.
