I like your points at the end, and I'd like to add that a lot more of LA is actually accessible to trains than you realize... You can connect to rail with buses (or take a bus all the way sometimes) (also a bus driver is literally a chauffer?) or you can ride a BIKE (fun, healthy, cheap, ebikes count too!). You can lock bikes at stations (way more racks than parking spots!!) but they area also welcome on all Metro and Metrolink trains. Having to pay for and find space for a car all the time is really annoying, and kinda weird when you think about it. Waymo does fix that, but like, why? Advocate for bus lanes, more rail, more frequency, etc. Also Metro trains cost $1.75 per ride... cheap af
