There's one thing that this type of AI will not be able to do and it's creativity, this AI is just pattern recognition. I have a question and I want to preface it by saying that I do not use AI and I've spent way too much money on hand made stuff over CNC machined, so I do like a human touch in the stuff I buy. But I do have an understanding of how AI works and I'm having trouble finding reasons why AI scraping images is wrong while remaining logically consistent. I am genuinely curious, what's the difference between someone looking at a piece of art, processing it in their brain and storing it there and then creating a piece of art partially utilizing the stored processed data of the art they saw and a computer doing the same? The only difference I see is human memory being fallible and therefore a computer being more accurate. Like you can bring up an image of Mona Lisa is your mind at any time while drawing if you'd like to create something inspired by it, why should a computer not be able to? I understand the sentimental part of the argument, and even though I agree with it, I try to keep arguments strictly logical.
