At 14 I was a young man who understood very well that the "digipet" wasn't a real animal and Ash from Pokemon didnt live inside my gameboy. This kid was upset about basketball and was not looking forward to starting a new hobby right away or committing to "the one his mom came up with". He made an unfortunate decision and was coincidentally talking to a.i as most people are now adays. Was the dragon girl thing strange? Yes, but we all do strange things and if you say you dont your lieng. Its not the moms fault, its not the a.i dragon girls fault either. It just happened but theres nothing you can do about it now. If she blames the dragon girl, the dragon girl will just blame her for letting him use such an advanced phone without supervision.
