Honestly this argument is weak.
From the moment that the entire AI base is developed above human work, there is much to be analyzed in the junction provided by it.
AI art can be used not only for "generic art" but also to reimagine current works made by the hands or forms of artists already made, for example... interesting for analysis and reimagination.
An image created in a generic way, despite not having the same levels of appreciation due to the absence of an author with his/her traits... would still have the capacity to intrigue and even inspire new projects or simply improve a previously monotonous environment.
For me, any tool can be useful and demonizing technology has never been a wise attitude in any era.
I totally respect artists and sympathize with their position to the point of not paying for or consuming AI art, much less feeding these algorithms by use... However, I have also seen people who have CHILDREN to feed using these tools to generate extra money in their lives. And to anyone who comes to me with relativist talk ignoring this, I simply present the door to hell and my "have a great day".
