I'm so happy for you to be speaking out about this and including actual proofs and information on the ai and the way it is generated. I've been sort of on the fence with this issue for a while due to the constant gaslighting of ai art generators and the rants from human artists. But to hear more about this makes me so happy to not be giving into the ai art narrative and how it is "ethical." There must be a way to feed said ai only non-copyrighted or non-infringed material. Feed it only materials with that artists permission or to use it for actual research and not for commercial uses. This entire dilemma has made me rethink about my future as an artist and gave me many scares about just turning back and choosing something else to pursue. But to see so many artists stand together about this makes me more uplifted to fight for the protection of our art and to find a more ethical way to go about it. I especially liked your point on the use of ai in the music industry as it is a common example that ai art generators use to defend their infringed art pieces. And I liked that as you said, we artists aren't saying the ai is the entire villain and that it should be gone forever, as we all know that we cannot remove said ai forever. It's the corporations and the people using this system to abuse the rights of the artists and feeding it into the ai for their own commercial use. I hope to see a future wherein these ai systems are either put to a stop or made more ethical. One where it doesn't feed off of an artists hardwork and passion.
