I was concerned about the recent surge of AI art, I thought that if technology took away labour we would have time for art. But then for a while AI looked like it was going to do art as well.
I think it's important to remember that AI cannot create art it only copies it from various sources, Ai can't do something unless humans have done it first. Personally I think creating something with AI and calling it your work is like choosing the toppings on your pizza and calling it your recipe.
