Socialism is the only equitable solution to the ever increasing probability of automation induced job displacement.
This video expressed my conclusions about UBI perfectly. Relying solely upon government benevolence is catastrophic. What happens when you have no work to supplement your UBI, and the state, who is ultimately subordinate to capital, fails to provide sufficient income?
The only answer is that the working class must seize equal ownership of the means to production, so that we may all benefit equally from the exponential and inevitable rise of mass scale automation.
Think as long and as hard about this as you need to.
Notice how this video failed to provide an equitable solution? That's because capitalism cannot provide one.
Props to the video for eloquently explaining the problem though. It is a serious issue that demands our fullest attention and efforts.
