I can even abide by use of these AIs for style study, reference and private concepting, in theory. For those uses, the models can be very useful.
But the thing is, if we can only have those perks at the high cost of the plagiarism, harassment, theft, propaganda etc... then I'd rather do without. Ngl, ChatGPT helped me a lot to overcome some issues of my ADHD in getting some good work done on my worldbuilding. But if the cost is that high, maybe it's better that I don't have the accessibility it provides than that people have to give up their jobs, education, that the planet takes more damage, that horrible propaganda spreads...
Like, maybe I can just not be like billionaires and put down that privilege for myself so we can all have nice things instead. And maybe I can handle the wall alone after all.
