To people that say AI is the same is the same as advancements in production technology do not understand what mass production has done for us and what AI is and isn't doing. The machinery made for mass production was always about speed above everything else, more profit, more good. They only cared about the product because that's the only thing that people got out of it, it did not replace the jobs, the jobs just got changed or altered to fit. A seamstress would still work in the factory even if it was automated. AI, on the other hand, is taking efforts that should have a human overseeing them to guarantee a certain standard of quality and replacing them because you can "more efficiently get a high quality product", ignoring the fact that AI consistently will spit out garbage, inadequate or low quality work, and can't iterate to improve itself without a lot of human input. People understandably notice this lack of care, quality assurance, and feel alienated by the fact a machine algorithm has done the task that a person would get done better and overall faster. That's what people don't understand, the human condition, the brain we evolved over centuries on centuries of dead ends, death, and mistakes, we're throwing that away because the elite can more easily stop themselves from getting the replacement treatment because... well, the excuse of I'm too rich to care applies far too often to buisness. Why don't we try and replace the execs with super efficient intelligent AI? Let them cry as their "ever so precious and difficult" job gets it's security sweeped away from under their legs
