If it does reach the breaking point then there will be a revolution. Obviously the people walking around without a job will be tempted to steal and thats when theres a law and order problem.
The companies will gradually adapt to AI but it won't happen overnight.
However what will definitely happen is that more couples will have fewer children. This means less humans who in any case are tearing the planet apart. Sustainability is the positive outcome of AI, just as the email wiped out the post office and excessive paper consumption.
On the bright side front end web development becomes cost effective with a plethora of coders being churned out each year.
