I wouldn’t care if they made ai art if they compensated the artists whose art was scraped to feed their algorithm in any way shape or form. Being lazy is fine, i order pizza when im lazy. Difference is, everyone from the farmer who planted the tomato seeds to the baker who made the dough to the cashier who calculated my total and talked to me on the phone and the delivery driver was compensated consensually commercially. AI art only benefits the tech bros. Yeah, it’s legal technically, but it’s still a crappy thing to do like having an affair.
