Computer scientist here! So much of AI's supporters come from horribly misinformed ideas about AI and what it does. Put simply, the most important part is this: It's math and nothing else. There's no "taking inspiration", no "ideas", nothing like that at all. An AI has a huge database of numbers and a small mathematical formula. Image generating AI is just taking a screen of random static (like an old TV with no signal, just random blurry black-and-white pixels) and plugging the exact shade of each spot into the formula alongside the database and your keywords (turned into another set of numbers) pixel-by-pixel. A person can do all of this with enough time. I'VE simulated an AI as part of a computer science class project in college. There is no room for "inspiration" or "concepts", it's just a crapload of numbers being crunched. Numbers made by averaging every pixel of every stolen artwork the trainer is run on. (This is also why generative AI will create the same image when given the same seed and keywords. A mathematical formula can't have a different result with the same input.) (Also at 10:00 the AI was cribbing an image of a dragon amongst many other things, the rabbit's vest collar is clearly a dragon's head complete with a yellow slit-pupil "button" randomly placed on it.)
