That's all fun and games for the rich, until they begin to realize that if any jobs can be automated, it's AI jobs. Allowing cutthroat competition will drive out all consumers, and the rich will just automate on their own the services that they want, at which point they will eventually realize: they have become the weakest link. You only need a few competitors at that level to guess how that is going to work out, and no, it's not going to be through a sudden reevaluation of empathy, that's a sign of weakness to them.
