Citing Waymo as a company who is doing a better job at this is a bit if a stretch, given how much they've made the news in December 25 and January 26 so far.
Maybe public roadways shouldn't be laboratories for autonomous vehicles regardless of the tech they employ. I definitely never consented to sharing a road, or parking lot, or sidewalk with 2 ton, 100 mph glitch robots.
