I'm a digital artist that does mostly semi-realistic digital paintings. I am also severely visually disabled. Never once have I been interested in using GenAI for any part of my art. I have friends that like to use it for their own art that keep trying to find ways to make it acceptable to me, even the tired excuse of "I can't draw though!". I've settled on explaining it to people that don't care about the ethics that AI "art" is garbage because there's no intent to it, no series of many, many discrete decisions that a thinking person had to choose. It's an empty image that has nothing of an artist into it. If I had an LLM generate images for me there's be nothing of me in it and there's no reason to make art that has nothing of yourself in it, in my opinion.
