When you make a single radical assumption, of course you end up in absurdities without other assumptions to make up for it. In this case the radical assumption is "AI takes all our jobs". The solution is quite simple, make an additional assumption that traditional salary income won't be our primary source of income. We'll either have some kind of UBI redistribution scheme, machine lending, or something else.
