Besides of that, AI art is by definition "average". As you said the AI consumed billions of art and just produces the most statistically probable outcome to a given prompt, so by definition is totally average.
To date i have never seen an AI artwork that would impress me even without knowing if it was AI. Some people dont enjoy average stuff, its boring.
