Let me guess, this your first technology induced paradigm change, right? Your friend cheating on her homework does nothing to counter the hammer argument. It’s a good example of the Google generation. Being less than three years available to the public that has less to do with the technology and more to do with her upbringing and organic moral compass. Arguments about a creator’s channel being faceless is thoughtless reflex gatekeeping that has nothing to do with AI. It’s ego obstacle preventing any conception beyond the self. I create IA rendered music and admittedly questionable DALL-E rendered imagery to create slideshow videos and cover art for songs I Write. What I do has nothing to do with my face, but everything with sharing from my head. Until the late 20th century nobody cared what an author looked like, yet they reached people regardless. And I don’t care if I get monetized on this platform. I care about documenting and sharing my growth as an AI artist, reaching and sharing that with others it resonates with. If you replace the hammer in the metaphor with a camera it opens up the exact same argument you and thousands of other organic face first content creators are expressing. Mild paranoia induced fear of change. And honestly most of you “Look” too young to be whining about the Good Ol’ Days. A photograph isn’t a painted portrait so it can’t possibly be art. I’ve even heard the same thing applied to mosaics crafted, by a person, from hundreds of photographs taken before the artist was born. CGI will never really take off because it looks fake.😂 This is nothing more than an updated argument against taming fire or replacing baskets with sleds and wheeled carts. Too dangerous. It’ll make us weak and destroy society. It’s not about what’s changing the world. It’s about taking an active role in shaping the future.
