The police stuff sounds like the premise of Psycho Pass an animated series. The synopsis is you had this system that judge people likelyhood of being a criminal when they haven't done anything and they dictate what is your career base on that system. It's definitely working, crime rate drop significantly but there is no freedom of speech and lots of innocent people just going to prison for no reason. I hope this AI doesn't turn that way.
