When non-developers ask me whether I (a developer) am afraid that an AI will take my job, I always compare it to the invention of calculators: Because of it I don't know how to calculate a number's third root (basic taks), I through it to the calculator (it does it for me blindly), but knowing what formula to use, what to do next, and what the meaning of the result - no calculator will ever do it. And this is why developers are required. Also if I really wanted I could learn to manually calculate a third root, but I simply see no reason.
