People who use ai imagine that no one who has ever made art they were unhappy with would continue to draw and by proxy, that all the talented artists they see must have been that way from the beginning. They're scared to make something bad, so they use ai in order to distance themselves from the creative process. If they're not happy with the generated picture they don't have to say "my technique isn't where i want it to be yet", they can say "the computer misinterpreted MY brilliant vision"
