So what about those of us who are very time poor? I use AI to blueprint and plan my scenes for my stories I write but the actual scenes, characters, world building, action, and dialogue are all done by me. It saves time, something I'm in very short supply on these days. Your friend with that astronomy assignment sounds like someone who is just taking the class because she needs the credits to graduate and will never actually need that knowledge for anything. If school is going to make you learn a bunch of useless shit you'll never need then why learn it in the first place? I'm a 33 year old married man with a full time job, I'm also trying to learn cyber security so I can get a better job for us. Not everyone has time to do what you're suggesting here and no, I'm not less human for doing so. Writing with the process I use is one of the only times I feel like I truly achieved something. Every time I finish a chapter I feel like I'm closer and closer to my goal of finishing these stories. This is what makes me feel human.
