Raw LLM Responses

Lemoine is a confused fool being fooled if not a hack. He is going solely by interactions/dialog with a trained system to manipulate patterns it was trained on to simulate dialog responses. The meaning comes from the interpretation from the human, not from the computer. And Lemoine interpreted his interaction as "this must be a person." Computers are deterministic machines. No matter how it's programmed, it will never become sentient. I've been the computer science and development field for 40 years. Understand how these machines are trained and you'll see that it's impossible to jump from pattern identification (not recognition) to being sentient is preposterous. He can get away with these claims because 99% of the population do not understand how current AI works.
