A year later, and you can still get jobs as a software engineer or other IT jobs. 🤣 The only ones who are likely to have been replaced are those who weren't any good anyway.
And the thing is, programmers who use AI to work “faster” are actually 20% slower, and bugs have doubled.
I don't think much will change in this area over the next 10-20 years. As it stands, AI seems to have reached a dead end for now, as scaling appears to have stalled. And it's slowly becoming apparent that AI companies/developers are also running something of a scam and that there is no real profit/value behind it. And even if there is, it's too small to justify the huge costs.
