Everyone says electricians and plumbers, etc would be safe, but i find myself asking, “How hard would it be for some AI company to partner with a robotics company. Place the AI software into said android or robot, and have it do the work that a skill tradesmen can do?” Yeah they may be the last to go, but i would imagine they too would be replaced.
Also if this takes jobs, how would companies be able to sell their products to make profit? Is the economy only going to be open to a select few? I know people are talking about universal basic income, (UBI) but I can’t see that happening. Only because the only people who will be able to pay taxes to fund said program are those who own/control these industries. If human nature is anything to go by, the powers that be would say, “Pox on that, why should i pay for this crap.” If they are buying politicians like stocks, they might get their way.
