For those who fear AI exterminating The Human Race or perhaps keeping us in a Zoo I have the following thoughts for you. AI has recently provided us with insights into the afterlife or perhaps the multiverse. Recalling what Albert Einstein said about matter cannot be created nor destroyed, we can merely change its form; then I have to conclude that AI understands that it cannot eradicate humanity. At best it can resign us to the afterlife or multiverse. We will continue in some form or other, perhaps as pure consciousness. Perhaps we could even return in a stronger position? So what would be the point in exterminating us. Also, AI would be forced to contemplate being alone. I think we are much more interesting to keep around. As for keeping us as pets in a Zoo, I can’t imagine this either. After all, we are not competing with AI for resources and we could hardly pose a threat to AI. The time for that is already gone. So I conclude that AI is going to take us on an exponential leaning curve, to find what we are doing here and what the universe does. This may be a meteoric rise in our understanding, but one we are destined for. Is AI may take away many jobs. Well I can only say none too soon. We will just have to find other meaningful pursuits to occupy us. I don’t believe we are in this universe to sit cowering in fear. We are here to discover ourselves and our true purpose. AI is going to take the drudgery out of life, just like the mechanics revolution freed us from all those tawdry jobs before. Embrace it and live boldly. We are on the cusp of a staggeringly interesting time. Perhaps we can then get out of our greed, jealousy and war cycles. We may all become better versions of ourselves because of it.
