Every time I see a timeline for the end of the world I call it bullshit. As much as the end of our civilization may be near nobody can predict the year we are doom. As a programmer I don't believe at all that AI is the #1 threat of civilization. The #1 threat is the oil or our means to generate energy. When all the oil gets burned this is by far the biggest concern we should have, AI won't be able to function without energy...
