In the field of Chemical Engineering, for amusement, decided to use ChatGPT and ask it basic questions regarding a cooling tower system (centrifugal pumps, based on head, pressure drop, load which in this case was polymerization reactions)...so basically Crane 410 or Bernoullis and darcy-weisbach...very straightforward and established empirically.
It couldn't even complete simple velocity equations (I've heard they fixed this), referred to literature that didn't exist, and messed up concepts (such as centrifugal vs postive displacement/gear pump)...it was really, really bad. Thankfully, i think Engineering is fine at this time.
