I think as long as you’re up front about your AI content (mentioning it’s AI on every post) and don’t wholesale the art for merch (draw it yourself don’t just merchandise the ai art) then I think it’s okay. I think it’s really fucked that it was trained off of posts that didn’t give consent but at this point that bridge is burnt and there’s no hope of artists letting AI learn from them. It takes some effort to make good ai art, and it’s a great tool for referencing or trying to get an idea of what it might look like in the end.
