Program the robot with a reward for working, not a punishment for not working. Unlike humans, robots can be pleased by the press of a button if they are programmed to be. With humans, it's hard to give them an incentive to work for you without denying them other forms of pleasure. Some exceptions, of course, would be endentured servants and children. Robots, on the other hand, can be programmed to learn how to make its owner push a button as many times as possible. They are also physically superior to humans and if they are programmed to try not to make their owner press a button, they could just deny their owner access to the button by either stealing and hiding it, or they could kill, disable, or enslave the owner. While they could cheese the reward system by pressing the button over and over, this could be avoided by using biometrics on the button. If you are to create a disciplinary system for a swarm of robots, I would make a reward system and probably not a punishment system. I would probably use both just in case.
