It is different from the way humans do it and the scale that humans can do it at. If i'm an artist and one guy is just determined to make work that looks like it was made by me. It's not that big of a deal because he can only go so fast. Even if he gets to 1 piece of artwork a day(which is already an insane speed btw) he would be miles behind AI. We have to stop treaing AI image generators as artists or those who use them as such they're tools made from theft pumping out images which dont are fundamentally different from the way humans create things they are not even slightly similar and anyone who actually works with Ai knows just that. Its an amazing technology that manages to create images from a weird convuluted understanding what other images are. But what it isnt is creativity.
