While I agree that large data centers are huge energy and water consumers, some of the observations seem to be off the mark. Let's be clear, whether we like it or not, more and more data centers will be built. The only way is to make them more efficient.
For example data centers must be asked to implement effective water recycling systems that can dramatically reduce the net freshwater requirement. You can achieve about 80% water recovery
