Or it is just a giant scam. S/AGI is mathematically impossible. There are limits. AI behaves that way because the training data is full of human concepts - good and bad (and fictional). The AI just follows a path from the weighted database. Nothing more. It is simulated intelligence.
The biggest scam is the theft of or intellectual property to produce new content putting it in the hands of big corporations.
