I'll take a speak and spell to rule the world instead of Donald Trump any day of the week. I don't intend to or think that an AI will make me god emperor. I think they will make god emperors an impossibility (and that is a good and NEEDED thing). When Nazis nearly take over the world TWICE it's time to sit humanity in the corner so they think about what they have done. Nothing scares an authoritarian more than the scenario of telling their computer to launch nukes and their computer telling them "no".
Monkey instincts are not all good things, Hank. Monkeys rape, monkeys murder, monkeys lie, monkeys steal. If AI is "alien" then maybe they're alien in the way Superman is. As in, they are (or will be) better than us. We need to either join them or step aside when that happens.
