As an active AI user, more than a few hundred lines and even the best models break and start spitting nonsense. Building modern functioning software solutions just by AI is still far away. But for generating small functions, some repetitive code, SQL queries, etc., it's a huge productivity booster. But you still need to have someone who can move small AI code blocks together by understanding the solution itself well enough.
